History

1390
King Sigismund of Hungary donated the village to Bethlen Gergely II.
1667-1683
The manor was built based on the designs of Bethlen Miklós (1642-1716). He was inspired by the Renaissance architecture experienced during his journey to Western Europe and also by the local folklore.
second half of the 18th century
The manor was renovated and gained a Baroque character.
1806
Bethlen Sámuel and Miklós had the manor restored.
early 19th century
The Brukenthal family inherited the manor. With the death of Charles, the last male member of the family, the manor was inherited by the Lutheran church.
1945
The manor was nationalized. The Romanian monument protection gave no heed to the building, which served as kindergarten, apartment building, and even pork processing plant. It is now a private property and is out of use.
